Manage solutions

To each requirement is associated one solution and at least one system. One solution could be based on few systems.

A functional architecture could help to visualize the solution, the dependencies between each system and the to-do list for each system.

The more you advance in the project's phases, the more detailed the solution is. The PM has to be sure the adequate documentation is available and validated according to the project charter.
