Introduction

The requirements describe the needs but are oriented toward functionalities.

Defining the requirements takes place during the define phase. The process describing how to manage the project's requirements are in the project charter. It defines:

• who is responsible to keep a track of them (project manager),
• how to determine their priority,
• how to manage requirements' changing

Define

A requirement is defined by an action that can be performed by some people for a specific purpose.

Requirements must habe a priority. In Agile projects, the requirement with the hightest priority will be developed the first.

To help prioritize, a gain and a difficulty can be added to the requirement.

The project manager has to keep track of them and their status in order to be able to know how the actual product meets the requirements.
