Introduction

A change request allow to manage change in a project. Tee approval processus should be defined in the project charter.
Specifically who can ask a change and who is allowed to approve it.
To approve or disapprove it, the decision maker has to know the issue, impacts and the benefits of this change.
To manage a project you have to keep log of them, even the rejected ones.

Define

A change request may be defined by:

  • Id
  • Small description
  • Type (need, cost, scope, planning, quality, ressources, technical)
  • Priority (low, medium, high, critical)
  • Status (opened, approved, rejected)
  • The requester
  • Who is in charge to approve it
  • Deadline of the approval
  • The issue
  • The expected benefits
  • The impacts of the change
  • List of comments
